Diagramming the Religious Nerd Since 2007: John Calvin is a Dork

Looking for in-depth analysis of life before, during and after JC and company?  This video will answer many of your burning questions while I continue to play library student nerd.  (Is there anything nerdier than studying libraries and information technology? hmmm... If there is, I'd like to hear about it.)
If we're lucky, this video will open the floodgates of controversy and everyone who sees it will want to respond to the following questions:
  1. Is it fair to compare religious people with WoW, Star Wars and RenFest nerds?
  2. Is lack of pre-marital sex a common theme among all nerds, secular or religious?
  3. Why do you think there are so many dislikes to the video:
  • (a) It isn't that well done.
  • (b) It makes fun of religion and everyone likes to thumb down that topic.
  • (c) It's too well done.
  • (d) There aren't enough RenFest babes portrayed as examples.
  • (e) There aren't enough Christian babes portrayed as examples.
      4.  Would we be better served if we could narrow down the religious enthusiast into a category? (see above).

Back to cramming my brain about the Reformation, Counter-Reformation and Censorship.  And a side note to the religious nerds out there: John Calvin seriously pisses me off... even though he's been dead for 447 years.  How much is Calvin still to blame for either/and/or the Prosperity Doctrine or the Austerity Doctrine?

Discuss.

I absolutely love partying w/Ren Fest peeps. 1) They always play good percussion and 2) when nite falls, the most epic of epic parties is on. And just so you know, all the cool guys like nerds-nerd is the new sexy.

Awesome buddy, you must be really busy lately,

Kriss

Ah, but there can be a fine line between the devout celibate and those who simply aren't getting laid...

It's pretty funny, but I have to say that I am getting a little tired of the religion-as-the-cause-of-wars theme. It's a legitimate concern, but it comes a little to easy for some (most) folks, folks who haven't looked that closely at the history they reference. What makes religion wrong is its failure to achieve the truth. It is hit and miss with the rest.
